Honeymoon Pictures! ....Not THOSE kind though!

Today I bring you some select pictures from our honeymoon.  We went to the maritime provinces of Canada, staying in Nova Scotia at a campground which was our base for our travels to PEI and New Brunswick.

This first photo is from our campground in Nova Scotia.  It was a hauntingly beautiful campsite full of gorgeous tall trees and moss.   ....And spiders.    LOTS of spiders.  Though, hubby said to me at one point, during one of my numerous teary tirades, that I would miss being there, spiders and all, once I was back at work.  Boy, was he right!

This next photo is from the gates of the Hopewell Rocks.  Bay of Fundy has the worlds highest tides! The best place to see this is the Hopewell Rocks.  Unfortunately, like EVERYTHING in the maritimes, the Hopewell Rocks were closed when we arrived.  This happened a lot to us actually, but meant that we got into everything for free!  Mental note, if you're going to the maritimes, show up for everything early in the morning.

This next photo is of the rocks themselves.  This fills up with water, to just below where the plants are.  We were too late to be able to go down and look, but watching the tide coming in was fascinating in it's strength and power and beauty.

This next one is of a beautiful bridge in the provincial park we stayed in.  Many of the paths in the park led to closed bridges in need of repair.  It was a tiny little park, and in the middle of nowhere.  I imagine that there was just no call to repair them.  The picture turned out beautifully though, something I would never have thought myself capable of.

Also found in this park, this interesting sign.  In a field of grass and apple trees.

We saw it, on our walk to the shore, where we got to wander along this beautiful red beach and stick our toes in the ocean (with shoes on, it's cold out there).

We were standing on this beach for probably ten minutes or so before something in the VERY calm ocean caught my eye.  It was WATCHING us!  These adorable seals were observing us as we walked along the beach, calmly keeping a specific distance and popping in and out of the water.  We counted at least 10 seals, none of which would come close enough to get a really good picture.
